The Norwood MCB's demonstrates proven endurance against overloads and short circuits with its high current carrying capacity engineered to support easy installation. Each MCB is designed keeping in mind the highest safety and compliance parameters. This means zero exposure to live parts, and a user-friendly, efficient interface that makes Norwood the only safe and reliable choice.
The products have high electrical and mechanical endurance, with ambient temperatures of -25° C to + 70° C
Norwood MCBs have a breaking capacity of 10kA.
The design enables line load reversibility in MCB's which means that you can connect the load from either side (top or bottom) of the MCB.
It can be installed where there is a fire safety requirement. Norwood MCB can be installed in a residential apartments, offices, industrial units, high rise buildings, schools, theatres etc.
A Residual Current Circuit Breaker (RCCB) is an important safety measure when it comes to protection of electrical circuits. It is a current sensing device, which can automatically measure and disconnect the circuit whenever a fault occurs in the connected circuit or the current exceeds the rated sensitivity. Norwood RCCB works on the principle of Kirchhoff’s law, which states that the incoming current must be equal to the outgoing current in a circuit. Norwood RCCB thus compares the difference in current values between live and neutral wires. Ideally, the current flowing to the circuit from the live wire should be the same as that flowing through the neutral wire. In case of a fault, the current from the neutral wire is reduced and the differential between the two is known as Residual Current. On spotting a Residual Current, the RCCB is triggered to trip off the circuit.
Generally conforms to IS12640-1:2008
Norwood surface mounting Switch Fuse Units are specially designed for industrial and commercial applications where heavy on- load switching duties are required. They are also ideal and effective for respected switching operation for domestic purposes.

A Norwood fuse is an electrical safety device that operates to provide over current protection of an electrical circuit. Its essential component is a metal wire or strip that melts when excess current flows through it, thereby stopping or interrupting the current. It is a sacrificial device once a fuse has operated it is an open circuit, and must be replaced or rewired, depending on its type.
The time and current operating characteristics of Norwood fuses are chosen to provide adequate protection without needless interruption. Wiring regulations usually define a maximum fuse current rating for particular circuits. Short circuits, overloading, mismatched loads, or device failure are the prime or some of the reasons for fuse operation.
A Norwood fuse unit is an automatic means of removing power from a faulty system.
Norwood Distribution boards make an essential part of any circuit in your homes, offices or any other place. They serve an important purpose and cannot be ignored at any cost. One of the most important devices, they make sure that the current is properly distributed to all the devices allowing proper functioning. This also makes sure that none of the devices suffer from the effects of over currents or short circuits.
The Norwood range of distribution boards are elegant when it comes to their looks. They fit in perfectly with the interiors of your homes, adding to the aesthetics. Available in different colors, the designer DBs serve a dual purpose. They not only save you from the harmful effects of current but also make your walls magnificent. The horizontal and vertical DBs give you the flexibility to choose the ones that are right for you.

Specially formulated grade of Flame Retardant (FR) compound is used. The performance of the cable in a fire situation is exceptionally good. The insulation does not burn readily. It does not melt and drip. The smoke is negligible, transparent, non toxic. The victims trapped in fire do not suffocate and this facilitates fire fighting operations. Unlike general purpose PVC, the smoke emitted is non-corrosive. Thus, the electronic printed circuit boards, hard disks and other sensitive electronic equipments are unaffected.
